Elephants And Mice is presented as the third entry in Series of Ancient Tales, with the cover explicitly identifying its audience as children and adolescents. Its English title brings together two animals of strikingly different sizes, establishing the central pairing without revealing the events of the story. This makes the book identifiable as an animal tale within a collection framed around older storytelling traditions. The illustration reinforces that pairing through a gathering of elephants and mice beside a winding stream. A mouse sits on the back of a decorated elephant, while other mice appear along the water and riverbank. Domed buildings and towers rise behind the animals, creating an elaborate architectural setting. These are visible features of the cover illustration; they do not establish where the written story takes place or what its characters do inside the book. For readers choosing among traditional stories for younger audiences, the clearest confirmed details are the animal subjects, the stated readership, the English cover wording, and the numbered series connection. The supplied material does not include a synopsis or interior pages, so specific lessons, dialogue, conflicts, and resolutions cannot be confirmed. This introduction therefore leaves the narrative open rather than attributing a familiar version of an elephant and mouse story to this particular edition.
